Do You Truly Love Allah?
“Say (Oh Muhammad) [to them]: ‘If you love Allah then follow me, so that Allah may love you and forgive your sins.’ And Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate.” (al-Imran:31)
This ayah makes it clear that if anyone claims to love Allah (SWT) they have to follow the sunnah and only then will Allah (SWT) love them and forgive them.
There are many who say ‘we love Allah’, and they oppose the Sunnah openly, whether it be in appearance, conduct, or legislation. The scholars have said that anyone who does this is a liar and does not love Allah (SWT) or they would have followed the Prophet SAWS.
The consequences for not following the way of the Prophet SAWS?
And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers’ way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell – what an evil destination (Nisa: 115)
