MUST SEE: Zubair Ibn al-Awwam – the first person in Islam to draw his sword in the cause of Allah SWT
When he heard rumors as a child that the mushriks in Mecca had killed the Prophet SAWS, he drew his sword and went into the streets. The bumped into the Prophet SAWS and he asked him, ‘Where are you going?’. He said I heard they had killed you. And the Prophet SAWS asked him what would you have done if they did? He replied, ‘I swear by Allah, I had taken an oath by Allah, that I would make the streets of Mecca flow with the blood of the mushrikeen.
The Prophet SAWS smiled and prayed for him and for his sword.
